TWENTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

JOYFUL NEWS

It is our pleasure to announce that one of our own parishioners has been accepted and will enter the Sisters of Life this Fall. This is the first vocation to Religious Life from our parish in a very long time. Colleen Dunn, age 27, daughter of Deacon John and Nancy Dunn, is a lifelong parishioner of St Stanislaus. She held leadership roles in the CYO both on the parish and Archdiocesan level as a teen. Her degrees from both Marywood and Ave Maria University in Theology have been instrumental in supporting her work as a Youth Retreat Coordinator in the Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin for the past 5 years. Having discerned the call to serve the Lord in consecrated life, she will be entering the community as a postulant on September 10. The Sisters of Life originated 25 years ago in NYC, under the leadership of John Cardinal O’Connor, with a special charism to uphold the sanctity of life at all stages thru prayer, action and witness. This congregation of sisters has over 100 women- including the 15 new postulants this year! We as a parish offer Thanksgiving to God for this vocation and offer congratulations to Colleen for her willingness to serve!

On behalf of St Stans, I offer our prayers and encouragement to Colleen and her family and friends. May God guide you and support you always. - Fr. Jay
