Today’s Program: Mike RockToday’s presentation will be by Shrimp Feast
Chairman Mike Rock, who will go over details and work assignments for our coming Shrimp Feast (only 10 days to go!).
Orrie Yaugo and Leigh Houghland have distributed at least six tickets to all members at club meetings or through the mail. If you need more tickets, please let them know. They will collect ticket money and unsold tickets until two weeks after the event. They also will attend all club luncheons and satellite meetings between now and the event to collect money and distribute additional tickets. Don’t forget you can send prospects to the website for online sales.
If you have questions, call Leigh at 879-7021 or Orrie at 206-0722, or visit them at Union First Market Bank, 4960 Monticello Avenue (next to Verizon and Longhorn steak house).
Thanks for your efforts to make this Shrimp Feast the best ever.
Kiwanis Service, Slapstick StyleCarol Copenhaver recently attended a fundraiser for the
Crosswalk Leadership Academy at Pastor Mark Morrow’s church in Toano. Seizing upon a great service opportunity when she saw it, Carol bid the highest amount of money on a once-in-a-lifetime chance to not only donate to the Leadership Academy, but to paste Pastor Mark with a couple of well-placed pies in the face.
However, in the true spirit of service, when the deed was done, Carol immediately helped clean up the mess, so that Mark could see again. Kiwanis service the community at its finest!
