September 2017 Volume 2, Issue 4 ALSHP News President’s Message Whitney White, PharmD, BCPS Hello, members! I hope that you all have had a good summer! It is hard to believe school is back in session and football season is in full swing! Bring on the cooler weather! It was great to see everyone at our Summer Clinical Meeting in Destin, FL, at the Henderson! We had a great turnout, wonderful speakers, a beautiful venue and plenty of time for networking with our colleagues! A big thanks to all of our exhibitors in attendance, and congratulations to all of our poster winners! Mark your calendars for next year’s summer meeting, which will be June 17-20, 2018 at the Hilton Pensacola Beach. Our Annual Meeting is only a few weeks away and registration is still open! The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham, AL. On Thursday, September 28 th , we will have student programming in the morning and the Residency Showcase in the afternoon, an event featuring residency programs from Alabama and throughout the Southeast. Thursday afternoon also includes a Director of Pharmacy track. Friday, September 29 th , we will have a variety of clinical programs for CE throughout the day, as ALSHP Calendar 2017 September 28-29: ALSHP Fall Meeting Sheraton Hotel Birmingham, Alabama 2018 June 17-20: ALSHP Summer Meeting Hilton Hotel Pensacola Beach, Florida ALSHP
