TheAsuras whowere slain by theSupreme Lord actually are the symbols of

anarthas in our hearts. In the 10th Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatham it is

mentioned that in all the philosophies of the world whether it is monism or

SankhyaYoga,theonlypersonwhoistrulyglorifiedisLordSriKrishna.Eventhen

Yosada Mai considers Lord Krishna as her innocent, mischievous son and

punishesHimfromtimetotime.TherearetwotypesofLilasthattheLordindulges

in. they areMadhurya Leela and AiswaryaLeela.Thus the Lord conquers the

heart.

TherewasacertaingentlemanwhotoldSrilaPrabhupadathathisGuruMaharaja

wasactuallytheLord.WhenSrilaPrabhupadaaskedthegentlemanwhyhefelt

so,thegentlemanrepliedthatwhenhisGurumeditatedheusedtolevitateinair.

SrilaPrabhupadasmiledand replied, forthatmatterevena cockroachlevitates.

TherewasanotherpersonwhotoldPrabhupadathathisGuruwasGodandhe

OncetheLordandhisassociateswenttostealbutterfromthehouseoftheGopis.

TheLordhadadear associate calledMadhumangalwhowasquiteplumpand

enjoyed gulpingup large quantitiesofbutter and curdat the placeoftheft.He

wouldgenerallybethelasttoevacuatetheplaceofplunderandmanyatimeshe

wouldbeintroublebecauseofhisgluttony.OnonesuchoccasionMadhumangal

wascaughtbytheGopisduringhisactofstealingandwashavinghishairpulled

bytheGopis.TheLordandhisassociateswatchedtheentireepisode.TheLord

jumpedintohelphisdearfriendMadhumangal.HeshoutedattheGopissaying

that Madhumangal was a Brahmin and the Gopis had committed Aparadh by

reproachingMadhumangalandthat therecouldbegrievousconsequencesasa

resultofthisact.TheLordseeminglycursedtheGopisthattheywouldseehellfor

theirheinousact.ImmediatelytheGopisrelentedandfellatthefeetoftheLord

andbeggedpardon.TheLordsaidthattheonlywaytoatoneforthissinwasto

askMadhumangalhimselfastowhatcouldbethebestpossiblewaytocleanse

thesinsaccumulatedbytheGopiswhileinsultinghim.Madhumangalimmediately

tookadvantageofthesituationanddemandedtheGopistofeedhimanother1000

sweets to appease his hunger. Thus the Supreme Lord moves about as a

mischievousandthemostdotedchildinBrajaDhama.

Ononesuchoccasion,theLordwithhisfriendsenteredthehouseofaGopito

stealbutter.Asameasureofprotection,theGopihadattachedbellsalloverthe

placesothatifthechildrentriedtostealbutter,thebellswouldringandraisea

signal. When the Lord and the associates saw this arrangement, the Lord

immediatelysummonedthepresidingdeityofthebellsandorderedhimthatthe

bellsshouldnotringevenif thechildrenenteredthehouseandstolebutter.The

deityagreedtothecommandoftheLord.TheLordandhisfriendswerenowable

toeasilybreakopenthehouseandreachthepotsofbutter.NowastheLordtook

handfulofbutterandwasabouttoputitinhismouth,allthebellsstartedringing.

TheLordwasangeredandsummonedthedeityofthebells.WhentheLordasked

thedeitywhyhehaddisobeyedHisorder,thedeityofthebellsrepliedthathewas

thoroughly confused with the commands of the Lord. He said that on earlier

occasions,thedeitywasorderedbytheLordthatitwasmandatoryforthebellsto

ringatthetimeofBhogaandnowtheLordhadorderedthatthebellsshouldnot

ringastheLordandHisassociatesstolebutter.Thedeityofthebellswasbound

byalltheordersgivenbytheLordtilldateandthereforehehadabidedbyallthe

ordersoftheLord.TheLordthusrobstheheartofhisdeardevoteesbyhisBalya

Leelas.

OncetheLordtoldRadharanithatshewasHistopmostdevoteeandunlessany

devoteehad themercy of theRadharani it was not possible for himor her to

accessthemercyoftheLord.SrimatiRadharaniwasthedearmosttotheLord.

TheLordwentaheadandtoldherthattheaffectionofRadharaniwassointense

thatevenYasodamayiwouldhave tofallatRadharanis feet.Radharaniwould

not believewhat theLordsaid since she felt thatYasodaMayiwas asuperior

devoteeascomparedtoherself.

OnceYasodaMayi saw thatatnightfallKrishnaand theGopiswereperforming

Raas. Yasodamayi immediatelyapproached the Gopis and reprimanded them

andtoldthemthattheyshouldnotdisturbKrishnasinceHewouldbeveryhungry

and tired after grazing the cows at Govardhan the whole day. Radharani

immediately jumped in and told Yasoda mayi that anyone who is dark in

complexionandwhosportsapeacockfeatherandcontrolspeoplewithHiseyesis

notYasodaNandanKrishna.ShetoldYasodaMayithatonewhoisplayingwith

theGopisisRadharanisKrishnaandYasodamayisKrishnaisactuallysleeping

inthehouse.TheonewhoisYasodaNandanonlyknowshowtorearcowsand

nothingelse.Yasodamayiwasstartledandshecouldnotbelievethattherecould

betwoKrishnaswhoweresoidenticalinlookandmannerisms.Sheimmediately

rushedtoherhouseandfoundthathersonwassleepingpeacefullyafteralong

andtireddayofcowgrazing.

YasodaMayinowcamebacktoRadharaniwithasuggestion.ShetoldRadharani

thatmyson Yasodanandan isalsoa greatdancer and thatweshould havea

competitionamongstthetwoKrishnasatherhouse.Radharanisaidthatifthetwo

Krishnas danced together it will be very difficult to decipher which Krishna

belongedtoYasodaandwhichonebelongedtoRadharani.YasodaMayireplied

that she wouldmake some difference in their appearance so that it would be

easier todecipher.RadhaRani then cast acrescentmoon over theheadofHer

KrishnasothatHecouldbedifferentiatedeasily.HoweverRadharanifeltthatthe

riskfactoroflosingKrishnainthedancewasstillveryhigh.Intheendsheobliged

and they went to Yasoda Mayis house to organize the spectacle. The two

Krishnasstarteddancingwithgreatgaietyandelegance.Everybodywasenjoying.

Asthedancereacheditszenith,bothKrishnasmergedintoone.ThisKrishnawas

havingthecrescentonHishead.RadhaRanithensaidthatthedancehasended

and that shewas leavingwithHerKrishna.Yasodamayi couldnotbelieve her

eyes,shedidnotknowwhatwashappeningandshepleadedRadharanitopart

withherKrishna.RadharanitoldYasodaMayithatshehadwarnedherbeforethe

act andnowsheashelplessandshecouldnotdomuchtohelpYasodaMayi.

YasodaMayifellatRadharanisfeetandatthattimetheLordwinkedatRadharani

andcommunicatedtoherthatShewouldnotbelievethatYasodaMayicouldever

fallatHerfeetandtheLordthroughthisLeelamadeithappenindicatingthatthere

isnootherdevoteesuperiortoRadharaniandevenYasodamayiwassubservient

toRadharaniintermsofunalloyeddevotiontotheSupremeLord
