The City of Wagga Wagga Seniors Festival is a 10-day long celebration, recognising the valuable contribution older people have made and continue to make to our community.

Council is proud to fund and support the Wagga Wagga Seniors Festival 2016. Many organisations come together to deliver a diverse range of events and opportunities to inspire seniors to try something new and to recognise the contributions that seniors make to our city.

On behalf of Council, I’d like to congratulate the Wagga Wagga Seniors Week Committee, event organisers and volunteers for presenting this wonderful festival.

The festival is a great opportunity for older people to get out and about, meet people, try new activities and have fun.

I encourage all seniors to get involved. Enjoy the festivities!

Councillor Rod Kendall Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga

Following the success of the People’s Panel in 2015, we are now expanding it so that more people can contribute in more ways.

The Panel was launched in February last year with nearly one hundred residents and group representatives contributing to online discussions on seven different topics.

As well as online forums and surveys, there will be opportunities to take part in focus groups and forums. This will allow you to meet with Council staff involved in the projects and other people that want to be a part of Council’s decision making process.
