The North Brevard Senior Center mourns the loss of one of our

dear “charter members” —

SIBYL NETHERTON

Sibyl (Hesher) Netherton, 91, of Titusville, passed away Friday, May 8,

2015.

Born Feb. 5, 1924, in Gypsum, Kan.sas, she graduated from Gypsum High School and Asbury

School of Nursing in Salina, Kansas She was a licensed R.N. in the states of Kansas and

Florida.

Sibyl married Robert Netherton, Sr. in 1945 and moved to Akron, Ohio, where their son,

Robert Netherton, Jr., was born. They returned to Kansas where she began a rewarding

career as a registered nurse on the psychiatric ward at Larned State Hospital.

Upon her retirement in 1984, she and her husband moved to Florida to be closer to family.

Her son, Robert Jr. and his wife, LaNelle, are residents of Titusville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Brevard Senior Center,

909 Lane Ave., Titusville 32780. (All contributions are fully tax-deductible.)
