SENIOR PHOTOINFORMATION:
YOUR SENIOR YEAR IS ALMOST HERE! Along with this comes a long checkoff list of things to be done throughout the year. This document should help plan for your senior pictures, ensure that it makes it in the2018-19 yearbook, and provide information about purchasing a “baby ad”! See below for:
• Directions for submitting your senior picture for the yearbook.
• Specifications for your photographer to follow to get the most suitable yearbook photo.
• Information about purchasing a personalized “baby ad” in the yearbook.
• A list of preferred photographers, their advertisement, and hyperlink to their website (click on their information or advertisement).
We would love it if you did! Parents can upload their senior’s portraits directly to our website for use in the yearbook. Please make sure that you upload your photo before 11/20/2018, and make sure to name and size your photo correctly. Alternatively, you can still submit a digital file on a cd with a printed hardcopy and handling fee of $20. Please delivery to the main office (with attention to Matthew Varca).
Before you begin, check the specification sheet on the next page and follow the file preparations below.
1. Save the high-resolution photo as a .jpg file. 2. Make sure the image size of your photo is 2”x 3” at 300 dpi (resolution).

Seniors! Your portraits will be posted in the cafeteria and outside the yearbook room (U116) through the month of January. Please double check that we have your photo and name spelled correctly.
SENIOR PHOTOSPECIFICATIONS:
Photo Size... 2” x 3” (vertically oriented)
Face Size... 1 1/8” (from top of hair line to tip of chin)
Background... outdoor setting preferred (uncluttered & free of distractions)
Pose... standing or sitting; head and torso only (DO NOT CUT OFF YOUR HEAD); no hands on face.
Orientation... must be straight up and down; no skewed or leaning photos.
Please NO... Logos, props, hats, pets, sunglasses, soft focus, applied filters, or black & white images for your chosen yearbook photo.
Attire... Grandview Dress Code Regulations apply.
Handling Fee... FREE if you submit it digitally using www.images.jostens.com and the instructions provided, otherwise a $20 handling fee must be paid for submitting your digital file on cd & a printed wallet size photo.
DEADLINE... November 20th, 2018 (last school day before Thanksgiving break)
