What makes you a Senior Champion?
Maximising your influence...
You know why this is important…
▪ 80% of millennials consider organisations’ D&I policies when applying for jobs
▪ 62% of graduates go back into the closet when they enter the job market
▪ 26% of LGB workers are not at all open about their sexual orientation at work
▪ 39% of trans employees would not feel confident about reporting transphobic bullying and harassment in the workplace to their employer
▪ 85% of LGB employees who are out at work are satisfied with their job (compared to 51% of those not out)
▪ 82% of trans employees who are comfortable disclosing their gender identity at work are satisfied with the support they receive from their manager (compared to 49%)
▪ 51% of Boards think that Board diversity is not important and only 3% are pursuing LGBT representation
Why increase your influence?
▪ Different sites, different experiences
▪ Successes to share
▪ Top down messages lead to ground up action
▪ Networks are not populations
▪ LGB and T are not the same or equal
▪ Crossing identities
▪ Stonewall’s reach is limited
