LocationSemliki Safari Lodge is situated in theSemliki Wildlife Reserve in the heart of theAlbertine Rift Valley. The reserve isbordered by the foothills of the RwenzoriMountains and Lake Albert. Previouslyknown as the Toro-Semliki Game Reserve,Semliki Wildlife Reserve is the oldestprotected area in Uganda. It is unique;gifted with geographic barriers that host amagical forest, perfect for walking.

There is a dryhabitat chimpanzee community living in the forest and guests can interactwith the chimpanzee researchers.

WaterOur water comes from a well through a borehole. Bottled water is alsoprovided in all tents, on activities and it is available at the bar.

LodgeStaying at Semliki is like stepping back in time. It evokes the spirit of theold explorers, it piques curiosity and inspires discovery. Semliki is secludedand intimate. The main lodge is perched on a hill overlooking the riverinevalley with the Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. A large dining area,plush seating with stunning views, and unique traditional art are the mainfeatures of the lodge. There is also a patio bar and a swimming pool areathat includes a breezy shaded lounge and superb forest views, perfect forpassing a lazy afternoon. Guests will be pampered by our staff whileenjoying the sounds of the forest in a tranquil environment.

AccommodationWith a maximum of 18 guests we promise excellent service and attentionto detail… and an unforgettable experience. Our guests stay in one of 8golden-hued tents with gleaming hardwood floors (1 family sleeping 3-4 |3 double sleeping 2 each | 4 twin sleeping 2 each) . Staying under canvasis one of the most romantic and exciting things to do in on safari in Africa.You hear the sounds, you feel the wind, you smell the rain before it comes.But this isn’t roughing it either: the tents are protected by a thick thatchroof and feature en-suite bathrooms, hot showers and double vanities.
