was the resource person. He started the lecture

with the introduction of IoT technology and

further explained how internet has served to

connect computers and humans in the world and

enabled them to share data and information. He

also explained how the IoT is also helping to

company owners, office managers and business

to increase productivity of their organization by

getting access to real time data.

The students enjoyed the videos of IoT

applications and gained the knowledge about the

recent technology of IoT.

Expert Lecture on “Career in Cloud

Computing”:

Dept. of Computer Technology has organized an

Expert Lecture on 'Career in Cloud Computing'

on Saturday, 6th Aug 2016 for second & third

year Computer students. Mr. Yogesh Bagul,

Managing Director, New Dream Learning

Center, Nashik was the resource person for

lecture. Mr. Yogesh emphasized on History of

Cloud Computing, Tools in Cloud Computing,

Cloud service Providers, Cloud Technologies,

Cloud users and Top Cloud Certifications. He

also focused on career opportunities in cloud

domain.

Seminar on “Building online Income Portal”

Dept. of Computer Technology has organized an

Expert Lecture on 'Building online Income

Portal' on 8th Aug 2016 for the students of

Computer and Information Technology.Mr.

Mayur Chandwadkar, IT Engineer and CEO of

InfoTech, Nashik, was the resource person. Mr

Mayur motivated the students by explaining how

to create our own online portal to earn money,

what is the technical requirement, steps from

web design to hosting of portal, linking to

payment gateway and costing of it. He also

elaborated on various technologies involved for

building the online income portal.

Seminar on “Start-Up and Projects”

Dept. of Computer Technology has organized a

seminar on 'Start-Up and Projects' on Friday,

12th Aug 2016 for second & third year Computer

students. Mr. Apoorva Muthe, CEO, We Dice,

Nashik was the resource person for seminar.

Apoorva is 18 years old youngest mentor of

Kumbhathon 2015 event honored by MIT

Boston. He has one patent registered for world's

most portable personal computer and working on

second patent also. He also developed many

mobiles Apps such as Kumbh Mela 2015, Clip

chat and World Words available on play store.

Apoorva elaborated on what is startup, steps to

start a start up, various funding agencies, startup

schemes, technical requirements and famous

Indian start ups, He also shared his own

experience of how he worked for startup and

about this patent. The students gained a very

good technical stuff and motivation from this

seminar.

IIT Bombay online Spoken Tutorial

Training on Java

Dept. of Computer Technology has organized an

online Training program on Java programming

offered by the Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT

Bombay, funded by National Mission on

Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt., of India.

Total 8 students participated and successfully

completed the online training and passed online

Exam remotely conducted from IIT, Bombay on

Aug 2016.

Industrial Visit organized

Visit to CDO MERI, Nashik.

Study visit has organized by the department of

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

for Third year students at CDO MERI,

(Earthquake dept. and Remote sensing dept.)

Nashik on 5th

August 2016. The Maharashtra

Engineering Research Institute (MERI) was

established in the year 1959. It is the prime

institute of Maharashtra state under Water

Resources Department. It is entrusted with the

work of applied research in various disciplines of

civil engineering like soil mechanics,

construction material studies, testing, highway,

coastal, remote sensing & GIS, seismology,

hydraulic model studies, reservoir sedimentation

studies etc. It is largely dealing with field

problems of applied research pertaining to

various projects. Mr. Girase explained the

Earthquake Sensing and Recording method. He

gave information about various sensors including

Vertical Horizontal and Longitudinal sensors.

After visiting Earthquake department students

took the information about the Remote sensing

department. The main aim behind this visit was

to make students aware about the Remote

Sensing Technology. He explained about Aerial

active and passive Sensors, Data Acquisition

system and Radiometers. He guided our students

regarding the future scope and demand of remote

sensing. This visit proved beneficial to students

as they got the overall idea about Earthquake

Sensing and Recording and also Remote Sensing.

Visit to Nashik Engg.Cluster, Nashik.

A study visit has organized by the department

of Electronics and Telecommunication

Engineering for Third year students at Nashik

Engineering Cluster, Nashik. on 8th

August

2016. Mr. Nilesh Kokate explained how thermal

Shock is performed to determine the resistance

of the part to sudden changes in temperature by

using thermal shock tester, and also gave

information about how dust tester is used for

protection of the equipment inside the enclosure

against harmful effects due to ingress of solid

foreign particals. Students gained the knowledge

of electrical testing laboratory and testing

equipment and its purpose like circuit break

tester, Impulse voltage test, conductivity test

etc. Students visited various section of NEC

department. In this way the visit at NEC proved

very beneficial to students.

Visit to Bhagur

On the occasion of 70th Quit Day, K.K.Wagh

Women’s Polytechnic organized a visit to

Bhagur , the Birth place of Veer Savarkar in

the memory of Freedom Fighter “ Veer

Savarkar” on 11th August 2016. The total one

hundred and ten second year students of all

departments along with four staffs visited to

Veer Savarkar’s Birth place. The students saw

the ancient times photo of Veer Savarkar along

with history of that Photos and remembered the

scarifies of Freedom Fighter of our Country.

The institute has organized parent teacher meet

on 27/08/2016 in each department. Parent teacher

meet started with the departmental activities and

progress of the departments. Some parents asked

queries regarding scholarship facilities, bus

facilities. Parents visited the department and

interacted with subject teachers to know progress

of their wards.

Induction Programme for First Year Students

The induction programme was organized for first

year students and parent on 10th Aug 2016. The

programme was inaugurated by Principal &

Parent representatives. Prof. Mrs. V. R. Khapli,

Principal, addressed the students & parents. She

enlightened on strengths of institute, discipline,

best practices in institute, mentor system etc.

Prof. Mr. H. M. Gaikwad, First year coordinator,

elaborated on curriculum, teaching &

Examination schemes, various students activities

and academic activities. The first year topper

students of academic year 2015-16 were

felicitated on this occasion. Finally, a campus

visit was organized to show the physical location

of class rooms, laboratories, Library, office,

gymnasium, hostel &playground. Thus the

program concluded with vote of thanks.

Quit India Day( 9

th August 2016 ):

Quit India Day was celebrated on 9th

August

2016. Prof. Mrs V.R.Khapli ,(Principal ),

K.K.Wagh Women’s Polytechnic, all HODs,

staffs and students have given their tribute to all

freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Veer

Savarkar , Mangal Pande ,Rajguru, Bhagat

Singh.and remembered their devotion to our

nation.

Independence Day (15th

August 2016) :

Independence Day with full honor on 15th

August 2016.The flag was hoisted at the hands of

Workshop on “Heartfullness”

The Institute conducted a workshop on

“heartfullness” from 25th

August 2016 to 27th

August 2016. Mrs. Manisha Hande (Volunteer,

Heartifulness Trust) was the trainer for the

workshop. She explained the meaning and

importance of meditation, the advantages of

practicing it and this was followed by the steps of

performing meditation in the right way. Seventy

students of the department along with the staff,

had enrolled for the workshop
