PERCEIVED PROBLEM/ OPPORTUNITY Root Causes
(Category) Details Severity
Poor urban planning
Poorly coordinated infrastructure projects in metropolis the government has to boost public infrastructure spending rather than investing to urban housings in the business center.
1
Driver’s disciplined/ behavior
Some drivers have no respect to traffic rule, they become heartless too, they didn’t give any chance to others and this is not a good attitude. Sever to this is their bad driving habit that tends to cause accident that led to heavy traffic.
2
Absence of Traffic Law Enforcers
It has been a problem long before there were less cars in Metropolis but it grew and like the Metro population burst to millions which more than the adequate laws enforces to put some order to the chaotic traffic situation in the urban centers.
2
Defective traffic lights
When this problem happens, traffic jam will occur. People are too busy to think about another people, they prefer to be selfish. When the traffic light not working, people scrambled and not thinking of others.

PERCEIVED PROBLEM/ OPPORTUNITY Root Causes
(Category) Details Severity
Road occupied by vendors, shopkeepers
Supposed to be vehicles demand for space greater than the available road capacity but due presence of hawkers it cause road saturation .
2
Road Conditions and Infrastructure
As cities grows so does the needs of transportation and this puts an increased pressure on the infrastructure. Thus it is of great importance to have a reliable and redundant infrastructure for the traffic, to make sure that it works even during bad conditions.
2
Road worksWhen road works during the day to repair the potholes, people need to avoid and drive slowly, it will cause a traffic jam and a long line of cars.
2
Road accident
Incidents (such as accidents or even a single car braking heavily in a previously smooth flow) may cause ripple effects (a cascading failure) which then spread out it create a sustained traffic jam for some time longer.

Over populated Metropolis
Considered to be center of industry, exchange, education, government, religious activity, tourism, or involve all these activities. These diverse areas of opportunity attract people from rural area/smaller towns/other cities to the cities where the opportunities’ and life style quality match their aspirations.
3
Equipment failureDue to the necessity vehicle owners still use their equipment to reach their destination even they knew it is not already road worthy
3
Cars become affordable
Many car company offers cheaper scheme to own a vehicle, in this business also many second hand vehicle for sale in lesser a price
3
Flooded streets The roads are frequently flooded during rainy seasons due to ineffective drainage system 3

Vision: "Towards a Humane, World-Class Metropolis"
