the set text (Florian Ebner, Urban Characters, Imaginary Cities)- The photographic urban wanderer (as flaneur) p.187- Photographic contingency (the chance moment) p.187- Direct or Composed pp.188-189- Scene or Portrait pp.189-190- The photographic impulse to categorise or to empathise p.1933. You are also asked to choose a sentence from either of the texts (Ebner or Scott) that

you find interesting or difficult and to bring this to the seminar. You are encouraged to

incorporate this into your text
