    COURSE DESCRIPTION

    This course covers the basic principles of effective skills in public speaking such aspersonality development, ethical speaking, listening, and audience analysis It also includestechniques in speech composition, development and delivery with emphasis on practicalspeaking experiences and awareness of audience psychology that will be used in any variedspeech situations.

    COURSE OBJECTIVES

    At the end of the semester, the student should be able to:

    express ideas, feelings, and emotions clearly and effectively.

    use available resources to reproduce and gather data.

    write different types of speeches according to given situation.

    speak with confidence using any or all methods of delivery.

    develop skills in audience analysis.

    deliver speeches according to varied functions and occasions. preside a meeting, argue for or argue against an issue brilliantly and effectively.

    demonstrate effective listening skills and respect for the opinions of others. advocate freedom of expression and free speech with a keen sense of responsibility and

    high ethical standards.
