Self introduction
From PowerPoint to interactive quiz
Hello everyone.This is (name).
She has come from (country).
Hello. My name is … I am ... (nationality).
I am … years old. There are … people in my family. I like
… I am pleased to meet you.
Introducing yourself• When you meet someone for the first time you say: はじめまして
It means something similar to How do you do?• To give your name you can say: • わたしは です。 OR • わたしのなまえは です。• Boys can say ぼく instead of わたし but if the introduction is
fairly formal boys can use わたし .• Never add さん to your own name. Japanese people are always
humble when talking about themselves and their family and never use honorific terms.
• Finish your self-introduction with: どうぞよろしく ( おねがいします ) 。
• This is a more formal version of どうぞよろしく and means ‘Pleased to meet you’.
