Project Background:Andhra Pradesh is building a new Capital City following the bifurcation of the state in Febru-ary 2014. The new city is located between Vijayawada and Guntur and it is envisaged to be a world class Capital City for the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Site Selection:Considering the pros and cons, both from a design point of view and respecting the aspira-tions of the Andhra Pradesh Government The SEED development focus is retained along the southern bank of Krishna river in order to achieve the ceremonial and grand quality of the axis, the government core functions will be distributed along this north-south axis with max-imum concentration on the northern end. Neerukonda hill forms the southern termination of this axis. To the north, the visual axis extends all the way to the Kondapalli Hill Forest.

Key points:#Readily available land with minimal development constraints#River Krishna waterfront that is lesser pronetoflooding.#Good natural setting with captivating views of the neighboring hills captures them as important vantage points#Site which can economically contribute in the future growth of the city.#Good urban design opportunities that can engage with the cluster of islands on river Krishna.#Theneedforofficespace

Internship - Residence at AvadiResponsible for creating working drawings from schematic design to construction of a residential villa. Project consisted of several client meetings, site visit and design opportunities. It was a single family villa and the client was interested in exposed brick and granite texture for exterior.

Studio - Institute for the Study of MarshesProject Description:

This project deals with the study of the hydrology of water in the wetlands. The site is located along the coast in revere near wonderland station.

CONCEPT: Connection - “A relationship in which a thing / Idea is linked”.

Due to the lack of knowledge about the wetlands and its purpose, people are unaware about it. This project helps in creating awareness for people to learn about it by experiencing it and creating a connection between the people and the wetlands.

Section at AA’ This section shows the library and the three levels. It also shows how the neighboring buildings are connected and there is movement inside.

Section at BB’ Shows the library and the neighboring building. It also shows how the space between buildings are being used and the vehicular movement through it.

Section at CC’ This section shows the residential space. It also shows how the ladscape andthevegetationflowintothebuildingcreatingaconnection.

The library is located next to the boardwalk with glass windows at higher sill level gives a sneak peek of the inside and creates a connection with the public to enter the building. The pathways are designed in such a way that it connects the important parts of the site.
