Second Sunday of Advent
Each year, this season of Advent comes around. We bless another candle this second week in Advent. Let us ask God to bless our family on this Second Sunday in Advent: God of new messengers, this Sunday you tell us in your Gospel “I am sending my messenger ahead of you.” Help us to be your Messengers of peace and rec-onciliation as we journey through this second week of Advent. When we light this second candle on our wreath, let us bring your light to our friends and neighbors this week. We ask this through Christ, who is the Light of the world. Amen.

Simbang Gabi, an evening of faith, fun & food in a traditional Filipino Advent Celebration In preparation for Christmas, from December 16 to 23, at 6:30 in the evening, there will be an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, Mass (except Dec. 16 and 17), and Advent Novena in the Chapel. A meal will follow in McDonald Hall sponsored by the Asian-American communities in our diocese consisting of parishioners from
Christ the King, Holy Souls, Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Jude the Apostle, St. Patrick, and the Cathedral of St. Andrew. Everyone is invited. Simbang Gabi, an evening of faith, fun and food in a traditional Filipino Advent Celebration. Please come and invite your friends and family to join as a spiritual offering in preparation for celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus! All are welcome!
