DESCRIPTION

Purpose of SEER Collect data on cancers diagnosed among residents of geographic areas Report on the cancer burden relating to cancer incidence and mortality, and patient survival Identify unusual changes and differences in the patterns of occurrence of specific forms of cancer in population subgroups. Monitor occurrence of iatrogenic cancers, those caused by cancer treatment Collaboration with CDC National Program of Cancer Registries and National Program of Cancer Registries (NAACCR) A source for cancer research for NCI and general research community

with Cancer of the Urinary System over course of 84 months(7 years) after diagnosis?

Observe the differences in this percentage related to Race and Gender.

Results Points of significance

Percentage of Black populations (Male and Female) surviving was consistently about 5% lower than all other races.

Females generally had a lower percentage surviving than males (3%-5%)
