The intent is to allow instrument field service per-sonnel or customers to install the SNI-POC withno assistance. The units can be flash updatedfrom a remote workstation at any time to handlereconfiguration. Dawning's experienced program-ming staff can provide a configuration for anyinstrument you require.

Fixed IP or DHCP environmentThe new SNI-POC can operate either with a fixedIP address or in a DHCP environment, at the pref-erence of the customer. The addition of a smallsoftware utility on the DMS end allows communi-cation via DHCP.

Browser interactionThe SNI-POC like the original Secure NetworkInterface is a web-enabled device that providesaccess to configuration and diagnostic featuresvia a standard web browser from any authorizedremote workstation.
