Introduction This guide provides an overview of the M&G Secure Email service.

The purpose of the secure email is to enable M&G plc to process sensitive information securely when communicating with our customers.

This guide has been provided to help answer any common questions you have around the use and features within the secure email system.

First time registration The first time you receive a secure email from M&G plc you must register to use the service.

Take careful note of the One-Time Password which is case-sensitive.

Click on the Register link to begin the registration process.

Complete the form by entering your email address and the One-Time Password, then enter and confirm a new personal password. Complete the operation by clicking on the Submit button.

Select and complete a security question, and then click the Submit button.

Final step, enter your email address and your personal password and click on the Login button. You are now registered to send and receive secure email through the M&G plc service.

Opening and reading Secure Email After the first you register with Secure Email, following notification will look like:

To access the secure email system, you must first Login.

Enter your email address and your personal password and click the Login button.

You will be presented with an account overview. To access your message, click on Inbox.

To open the message, simply click on the envelope icon next to the message or the subject itself.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are an existing user and are accessing the service for the first time since 14th of June 2020, you will be prompted to enter a new security question. Select and complete a security question, and then click the Submit button.

The available options are listed across the top of the message. Any attachments are listed at the bottom of the message.

Attachments can be opened by double clicking on the document title.

Click on Overview or Inbox to exit the message.

Sending a new secure email The most frequent use of the M&G Secure Email system is to respond to a message. From the inbox simply click on a message title or the envelope to open the email then click the Reply To button.

Type your response, click on the Send Message button when complete.

Where you know the email address of a M&G recipient you can create a brand new message by clicking on the New Message link from the inbox.

How to reset your password From the Login screen, simply click the link Forgot Password?

Enter your email address and click the button Next Step.

Answer your security question and click the button Next Step.

Enter and confirm a new password, and click the button Apply Changes. You will be presented with the account overview page.

Question I haven’t received an email from M&G plc in my personal inbox.

Answer

Please check your junk/spam folder in case the email has been blocked by your email software. If it has been delivered here, select the Not Spam or Not Junk button, the email will now be displayed in your inbox.

Question Is secure email service compatible with all browser versions?

Please ensure you are using an up-to-date version of your web browser. Unsupported browser versions will not be able to use this service.
