    Sem. Mighty Lord, what woldest thow with the Tables?

    Mi. It is the will of God, Thow fatche them hither.Sem. I, am his Tables.Behold th ese are his Tables: Lo where they are.

    There cam in40 whit e Creatures, all in white Sylk long robes:and they like chyldern: and all they fallyng on theyr kn ees sayd,Thow onely art Holy am ong the highest. O God,Th y Nam e, be blessed for ever.

    Michael stode up out of his chayre, and by and by, all his leggssem ed to be like two great pillers of brass: and he as high as half way to the heven. And by and by, his sword was all on fyreand he st roke, or drew his sworde over all theyr40 heds.

    The Erth quaked: and the40 fell down: and Michael calledSem il, with a th undring voyce, and sayd,Declare the Mysteries of th e Living God, our God, of oneth at liveth for ever.

    Mi. NOTE: here is a Mysterie. Then stept furth, one of the40, from the rest, and opened his brest, which

    That creature did shut up h is bosome, and vanished away, like unt o a fyre.Mi. Place that, in the first place. It is the name of the Lorde. Than there seamed a great clap of thunder to be.

    Then stepped (before the rest) one other of the40, and kneled as the otherdid before.     Then th is Creature opened his breast, and fyre cam oute of the stoneas before and a great romayneG appeared.Mi. Write with reverence, These Mysteries are Wunderfull, the

    Then th is Creatu re vanished away.Mi. The Seale of Gods Mercy: blessed be thy name. It semed to rayne, as thowgh it had rayned fyre from h even.

    Then one other of the40 was browght furth: The rest all felldown and sayd, LO, th us is God known.Th en he opened his brest, and there appered ann, (not of so big pro=portion as the other), with t he num ber of 7 over it.

    Mi. Multiplicatum est Nomen tuum in terra. Then th at m an vanished away as it were in a golden sm oke.Mi. Thow must not write these things, but with great devotion.

    He Liveth . Then cam an other fowrth . Then all fallingdown sayde,Vidimus Gloriam tuam Domine. They wereprostrate on t heyr faces. Then th is Creature opened his breastand he had there a Tablet all of Gold (as it were) and thereappered a smallt uppon it : and the figure of 9 under thisLettert .

    was a littlea and 24 under it. he went away. They all now seem ed to be gon: Michael and all.

    He cam in agayn and two with h im. And he sayd,Hii duoClati sunt adhuc. They two went away.

    Mi. Vale. Natura habet terminum suum. He blessed us and florished his sword towards, and over us,

    and so went away and Uriel after him : who all this wh ileappeared not .

    After supper Mr. Talbot w ent up to his cham ber to prayers: andUriel shewed himself unt o him : and told him that somwhatwas am yss, in the Table or seale which I hadbyn occupyed abowt th is day.
