Civacon introduces the next enhancement to our newROMLink™ Optic Overfill Sensor. This new sensor now features our enhanced electronics located in the cap. A curly cable and modular connector securely join the sensing tube to the cap for a trouble-freeinstallation.

Optic overfill sensors detect the presence of liquid at a preset level. The new Civacon ROMLink™ Sensor brings all the enhanced design features of our new Universal Sensor and more to the “Plug-N-Load” convenience of our ROMLink™ System. The new Sensor now has our digital electronics located in the cap, with a modular connector joining the sensing tube (containing just the optic head) to the cap’s electronics.

By having the electronics located in the cap, the sensing tube height needs to be only set once. The new one-piece Pyrex® glass prism and sensing devices in the tube should never need replacing. If the sensor’s electronics ever need to be serviced, it is simply a matter of removing the cap, unplugging the connector and plugging in a new cap assembly. No tools required! Plus there are no changes to the sensing height or any affect on the compartment’s vapor-tight integrity.

The features and benefits of these new sensors are available in our new ROMLink™ 5-wire sensor version as well (see separate data sheet).

Civacon introduces our new Socket Optic Overfill Sensor. A completely new sensor and housing with enhancedtechnology and design features.The non– polarized digitalelectronic circuitry design is a perfect fit for all your overfilldetection needs. Optic overfill sensors detect the presence of liquid at a preset level. The new Civacon Socket Sensor is fully backward compatible with our current Quick-Start™ Sensors and Monitors, as well as all industry standard signal formats. These new Socket Sensors feature an exclusive, non-polarized digital electronic circuitry design that will work directly with 2-wire (green plug) loading racks when wired directly to a green “thermistor” socket, as well as with all on-board Monitors like the Civacon ROM II. The sensor’s non-polarized electronic design means not having to worry about the sensor’s wire color or polarity anymore. The two grey wires can be wired as either signal or ground interchangeably. You can not wire it wrong!

Civacon introduces our new 5-Wire Optic Sensor. The new sensor and housing includesdigital technology and improved design features. This sensor is the perfect fit for your overfilldetection needs.

Optic overfill sensors detect the presence of liquid at a preset level. The new Civacon 5-Wire Sensor is fully compatible with all our current 5-Wire Sensors and Monitors, as well as all industry standard signal formats. These new Sensors feature an exclusive, digital electronic circuitry design that will work directly with 5-Wire loading racks when wired directly to a blue WOGA1 or SAE J-560 style “optic” socket, as well as with all Onboard Monitors like our Civacon Liberty™.

The new Civacon 5-Wire Sensors are a direct replacement for our 5-Wire Liberty™ optic sensors. The new 5-Wire output signal is compatible with the industry standard signal format, which makes it the right choice for any of your 5-Wire overfill detection sensor applications.

VehicleIdentification Wire

Vehicle-mounted sockets connect Optic, Thermistor, and J560-type level sensors on trailers and truck tanks to their compatible monitor plugs installed at loading terminals.

Civacon, the name you can trust for quality overfill prevention products, introduces optic and thermistor single sockets with ground verification wired inside the socket. Ground verification is needed to load at terminals where the loading-rack monitor requires a special modified signal as part of its ground verification operation. An accessory wire is also connected to the ground wire for vehicle identification systems.

For proper installation, “the ground wire” MUST be securely fastened to the tanker chassis; Civacon has pre-wired it to pin No. 9 on the overfill-detection sockets to provide proper ground verification.
