importantly, welcome to theBand of Brothers (the trumpet

section)!

On behalf of all of the Section Leaders, we are excited to welcome youto the 2021 season of the JMU Marching Royal Dukes, and morespecifically the TRUMPET SECTION!!! We hope you have a wonderfulsummer with the world slowly opening back up every week. There maystill be some unkowns going into the season since Covid is stillprevelant and we will keep uou updated accordingly.

As the summer winds down, it's time to gear up for us to have anotherexciting season. Our section thrives off of the energy, enthusiasm,talent, and dedication of its amazing members. Over the years, we havedeveloped a culture of taking rehearsal seriously and being proud ofthe work we have done. At the same time, our section is one that knowswhen to relax and have a good time.

We hope that the contents of this document will be useful to you as youprepare for the upcoming season. The following trumpet-specificinformation will give you an idea of what to expect upon arriving atband camp in the fall. Within this document you will find music for theBand of Brothers theme song. This is a trumpet only tradition that wetake seriously, but prepare whatever part you feel most comfortablewith. Recordings of our version of Band of Brothers can be found onYouTube if you search “JMU Trumpets Band of Brothers”. You will alsofind a list of our 2020 Trumpet Leadership Team with brief descriptionsabout ourselves.

A section leader will contact you before camp, however feel free tocontact any member of leadership prior to camp if you have anyquestions, concerns, or if you simply want to say hello!
