COUNsELOR’s DEsK MRS. DANA ZAMBECK
JUNIOR PARENTS Meeting: Monday, September 16, 6:00 pm in the Media Center. The purpose of the meeting is to help with the
college planning process and will include a review of how to choose a college, completing a college application, as well as a junior/senior
timeline. Individual college planning meetings can be scheduled with Dana Zambeck before September 13.
SENIORS: You should be working on college applications! Many colleges and universities require a Fall application deadline. The best
way to learn about a specific college that you are interested in, is to go for a campus visit (there are 4 allowed absences/school year for
college visits). Mrs. Zambeck will be meeting with seniors this week to check on their progress and answer questions.
TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS: PCA is partnering with PARCHMENT to make ordering transcripts easier for you. Seniors were sent an email
last Spring during Explore Week on how to register for this service. Sending transcripts electronically to most colleges is free thru
PARCHMENT. If you find there is a fee, please see Mrs. Zambeck to order a paper copy instead. The site also has a search tool to help
students find colleges that match their interests.
