The third season of the Cross Bay Ferry is getting closer to reality for 2019-2020. Most area local governments and the Florida Department of Transportation have agreed to fund a third season of the popular Cross Bay Ferry service between downtown St. Petersburg and downtown Tampa. We are happy to see Tampa’s new Mayor, Jane Castor, weigh in so strongly in favor of the Cross Bay Ferry and water transit. The Pinellas County Commission will decide on funding on August 20, 2019, and if it gives a green light, the third season will start on Nov. 1, 2019 and run through April 30, 2020. The City of Tampa has also agreed to provide a berth for the coming season at the Tampa Convention Center. This location was a big hit during the first season, and with an expanded Sail Pavilion, a new Datz Restaurant, and expanded Riverwalk, we are sure it will be even more popular. Plus the Tampa Convention Center terminal location allows for great new Sunday service. So we are pretty confident that the 2019-2020 season will set a new attendance record, beating last season’s amazing 53,000 passengers (up from 38,000 in the first season). See you on board in November. SEASONAL FERRY SERVICE PLAN 2019-2020

See you on board in November.
