DETAILS OF INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SHREENATH MHASKOBA SUGAR FACTORY ON

6th SEPT. 2015

The department of Mechanical Engineering organized one day Industrial visit to Shreenath Mhaskoba

Sugar Factory, Shreenathnagar, Tal.Daund, Dist. Pune on 6th of September, 2015 for Second year

students of S.E.(Mech & Auto). The visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of Hon.

Principal Dr. Ashok Kasnale and HOD of Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Rahul Bachute.

94 students of S.E. (Mech & Auto) along with faculty & staff members. Prof. Ganesh V Patil, Prof.

Nanasaheb Pawar, Prof. Sandip Mulande, Mr. Meghsam Joshi & Mr.Indrajeet Munde attended the

industrial visit which started at 9.30 a.m. & concluded at 2.30 p.m.

TECHNICAL DISCUSSIONS DURING THE INDUSTRIAL VISIT

The entire students & faculty members were divided into three groups and separate engineers

were allotted to each group. Resource persons from industry explained in details about the equipment’s

& processes of converting sugar from sugar cane. All the doubts raised by the students were resolved

satisfactorily. Overall plant layout of the sugar factory was also discussed with the students. In the visit

student mainly studied steam power plant, sugar making process, boiler & its mountings etc.

ACTIVITY Title:- Commencement of IGTR Courses

Commencement of IGTR Courses:

Mechanical Department has signed a contract with Indo German Tool Room (IGTR), Aurangabad for

providing software training to the students. This training helps students to improve their employability.

Training is organized after college hours and on Saturday & Sunday. The courses has been started from

10th September 2015. Prof. S A Kamble and Prof. S S Lahane are coordinating this activity. The details

Engineers Day was celebrated on 15th September 2015 by MESA (Mechanical Enginnering

Student Association) of Mechanical Dept. Program was started as per our Indian Tradition lightning of

lamp by Dr Ashok Kasnale – Principal, Prof Rahul Bachute - HOD Mech & other departmental HODs.

Student coordinators for this program were Mr Kartik Gujar & Mr Shubham Gujar, TE Mech. The talk

on Engineers Day was given to the gathering by Rahul Singh (BE Mech), Aman Gupta (TE Mech) and

Raj (SE).

Video presentation shown to the audience, and then Dr Ashok Kasnale, Prof. Rahul Bachute and

Prof. Manoj Patil addressed the gathering. Vote of thanks was given by Mr Prajot Pujari – President
