Our goal is to make the SDGs (17 Sustainable Development Global Goals) a household name, and we are going to accomplish that through multiple ways. We are hosting an online competition that engages the teams, organizations and individuals behind the thousands of SDG projects, a high profile Gala and Awards event and a year long social media campaign by University teams representing all of the SDGs as they compete for additional funding and an Impact and Most Popular award.
Plus, the day before the Gala we are featuring a showcase event for UN, Corporate and Investment VIPs—Technology that can Save the Planet, featuring the work of Universities and popular inventors.

A second level of competition will be among the top three Impact Award recipients at the College and University level. They will have their projects progress followed by weekly updates on the Awards and their social media platforms.

Winners in all categories except Corporations, UN Agencies and Governments are announced online at the conclusion of the competition. Corporate, UN Agencies and Government winners will be announced at a Gala and Awards ceremony in New York City October 2020.
Academic Category finalists will compete with one another throughout the academic year, posting weekly updates on our and their social media platforms as to their progress. Their constituents and others that are going to become interested in following their progress will see your message every time they click on.
Like a reality show, followers are going to want to see which project’s team is going to win the next level of funding support.
As there are 17 SDG categories, each with three teams competing to have the greatest impact, and thousands of schools and universities entering projects, coupled with a sophisticated PR campaign, the views of your messaging each week can be in the millions.
Sponsoring an SDG
Sponsor the SDG that most aligns with your social responsibility goals and throughout the year your brand and your social messaging will be the lead headline for that SDG in the SDG Impact Awards competition, and your brand and message will be included throughout the SDG Impact Awards site and included in our messaging.
As an SDG sponsor you are sponsoring teams which are competing to have their project selected as having the most impact on that SDG and will become the recipient of the next level of funding.
Each of the teams will post on the Awards social media platform their weekly project update, and they will do what they can to reach and engage as many followers as possible because at the end of the competition, there will be a Funding Award of $50,000 based on Impact and a Most Popular Award of $25,000 for the University team based on number of followers and $25,000 and $10,000 for High Schools.

How We Will Drive Millions of Visitors to the Site
• Marketing and Public Relations -Each of the Nominees will be driving their constituents and social media followers to the site to see their project. As an incentive for them to visit the site, there are prizes ranging from free movie downloads to expense paid travel packages awarded as “Instant Wins!”. Prizes for Voters are awarded on a random basis. As an incentive to tour the site and to visit it often, registered voters can vote on other projects as well. Although they can only vote once per project, they will have thousands of projects they can vote on in hopes of winning a valuable prize.
Why They Will Recognize Your Support of the SDG and Your Social Messaging
Government Missions to the United Nation - Will have their sovereign projects and affiliated NGOs register their projects as they compete for recognition of their support of the SDG. Their participation will be supported by their own Public Relations efforts.
NGOs accredited by United Nation’s Agencies will be registering their projects. There are more than 11,000 accredited NGOs and they too will be competing against one another as they drive their constituents to vote.
Middle School and High Schools - More than 12,000 Middle Schools and High Schools have projects that support the SDGs. They too will be engaged to host their projects and drive their student, parent and vendor communities to visit their projects and to vote.
Again, the opportunity to win Instant Winner Prizes will drive multiple visits to the site, and the opportunity to win cash prizes and important recognition will help keep them engaged.
Why They Will Recognize Your Support of the SDG and Your Social Messaging
Model United Nation’s Programs—More than 300,000 students, primarily in high school and University participate in more than 600 Model UN programs. Each of which will have incentives to register their projects and drive their social media to visit and vote. As with all voters, registered voters will be auto-reminded that the more times they vote, the more opportunities they have to win.
Global Compact, affiliated with the United Nations, has approximately 14,000 corporate members that are pledged to support the SDG. The SDG Impact Awards Committee will reach out to the membership and invite them to participate in this global awards event by registering their CSR and SDG projects, providing an opportunity to showcase their projects to a larger audience, while at the same time driving voters to the site, where they will also view the projects of our sponsors.
Why They Will Recognize Your Support of the SDG and Your Social Messaging
Enjoy the benefits of sponsorship while sharing your projects and your brand’s support with an audience that will support the brands that support the projects they care about.
Sponsors are invited to post their projects and to help drive traffic to the site. Sponsored projects will always be shown as “trending.” Key Sponsors will receive a Special Recognition Award rather than an Impact award for transparency reasons.
