A Great Time To Worship
Galatians 4:3-5 Event so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the ele-ments of the world: But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of
sons. We are truly blessed this year to have Christmas falling on Sun-day. This doesn't happen everyday. If a person is 80 years old now, he was born in 1931 from 1932 up to 2011 there are 13 times that Christ-mas has fallen on a Sunday: 1932, 1938, 1949, 1955, 1960, 1966, 1972, 1977, 1983, 1988, 1994, 2005, 2011. Make this Christmas a Special time. Put Christ back in Christ-mas by making Worship a priority. Our Schedule for Worship is Christmas Eve Candle Light Service 6:00 pm., Whole Church Christ-mas Service 10:45, and Christmas Evening Christmas Carol Praise Ser-vice 6:00 PM. Bring your family and lost friends to hear the Good News that Jesus has come and will be coming again. Kathy and I thank the Lord for the privilege of serving Jesus by serving you and we thank you for being our church family.
Merry Christmas,
Bro. Guy

Hello Southside! I hope everyone has been enjoying this holiday
season so far! Things are still going strong in the Youth and Children’s ministries! November was a pretty busy month! We spent one week helping the WMU ladies put together some boxes for the Operation Christmas Child project. The night was a great success. The youth paired up with some of the kids and helped them through the line preparing the boxes! We packed up a little over 100 boxes this year! The next week we had the Revival and the kids and youth joined in with that! We also missed a week for Thanksgiving! The month was a little off from our regular schedule but it was still a good month!
As far as Youth we kicked off the month with a bonfire and hayride out at
Ron and Rita Lamb’s house! I want to take this time to thank them for letting us use their place for this event! It was a lot of fun for everyone who attended! On Novem-ber 19th we had a game night at the church for the youth and it was also a lot of fun! I am so blessed to have a job where I can come and hang out and minister to these awesome kids!
As we look ahead there’s a bit on the Calendar for December as well! On the 14th we will all go caroling with the rest of the church! We are having a Christmas par-ty on the 16th where we will have an Ugly Sweater contest and a White Elephant gift exchange! For New Year’s Eve this year we will be teaming up with FBC Fulton and Centennial Baptist out of Mexico, MO. This will be fun event for the youth groups to
get together and have some positive fun for the evening!
If you are interested in volunteering for
any aspect of the Children’s Ministry we would
love to have you come on board! We still have a
need in Children’s Church and on Wednesday
nights! We also need Nursery workers! All of these
kids are not only the future of our society but also
the future of our church! We want to raise them
up on a firm foundation in the Lord and we need
your help to do that! I hope you all have a great
Holiday season!

Church Family Mailboxes
Christmas card boxes will be set up again this year in the Welcome Center. You may put them in the appropriate box. As in the past, the postage that you would have spent can be
designated for Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
Lottie Moon Offering! What’s that? Lottie Moon was a missionary in the early 1900’s. She had a burden for lost peo-ple especially those in China. She has a fascinating life’s story that you can read
about by going to Google and typing in “Missionary Lottie Moon”. There are also books in our church library.
As Southern Baptist we have a designated Christmas offering named for her. This offering through your giving provides salaries and living expenses for missionar-ies, education for their children, language training and funds for their ministers,
enabling them to work and live in global cities and extreme places. Your gifts help missionaries raise up and equip local believers to become effective leaders. Train-
ing in biblical church-planting strategy lead them to become church planters among their own people – and nation.
Our church goal for this year is $4,500 To reach this goal we will have “Frosty” out to help us. “Frosty” will be asking the
children of the congregation to ask you to donate your change in a competition:
Girls vs Boys. The change then will be weighed and counted each Sunday and
announced the following week. So, please start bringing all your pocket change
to give to the kids starting Dec. 4th.
