SCREENPLAY WRITING & DIRECTION ACTING CINEMATOGRAPHY EDITING AUDIOGRAPHY
Messagefrom the
CEOBINOD PAUDEL
Nepali film industry is going through a transitional
phase right now. The previously prevalent mechanism of film making which had very little to do with creativity and imagination are slowly being replaced by films that portray relatable human sentiments. The Nepali audience has responded to the change very well. The reason why Nepali film industry is lagging behind is the lack of technical and principle vision among Nepali human resource. Nepali cinema has been directionless for many years, stuck with the old formula of immature filmmaking.
The aim of this institution shifts from the idea of just teaching how to make films and focus on disseminating attributes that make a good film and a-good film maker. Our aim is to educate these aspiring film makers to utilize their knowledge with creativity and confidence so that they can put the same in the films they make. We hope, the new generation with the deep insight of cinema art and technique will be able to give a vivid direction to the Nepali Cinema.
We have understood film as a pure art. To dive into the ocean of film and bring the pearl out of it would be our three years' dedication and hardship. Understanding the structures, possibilities and form of today's most popular art-cinema, we are searching for the ways to deliver our complete creativity in it.
Every person is living with a story. Unfortunately we ignored our stories and went on making far-fetched, unreal and foreign influenced films. We must be able to narrate our stories in our own ways. For three years, we will meditate on how to tell our stories in our own way through the medium of camera.
To get into the depth of such understanding we are heading for a three years journey. For how long will we still search our identity in Sagarmatha, Buddha and Brave Gorkhalis ? Isn't there possibility to build our new identity through the language of cinema? Yes, that's the dream we have dreamt and want to invite everyone to walk with us: It's our job to show you the way and yours to tread on it.
