Scout informs leader of their decision to attempt the camp craft journey. 2. The leader then notifies the district scout leader / mindari leader of the attempt. 3. The district scout leader then notifies the regional commissioner - scouts 4. The scout leader will the contact the region office at arrange for the scout to obtain a temporary bushwalking qualification. 5. The scout then decides where and when the journey will take place in consultation with their scout leader and the district scout leader. (This is where the Goals and Tasks for the journey are set) 6. The scout then attempts the journey (making a rough note log) 7. On completion of the journey the scout will write and present their scout leader a formal log of the journey and including the rough notes as well. 8. The scout then hands in the completed final log of the journey within seven days after the trip. 9. The scout leader will then hand the log book to the district scout leader for examination. 10. The district scout leader will write a recommendation and pass the log onto the RC- scouts for approval. 11. The RC- scouts will the examine the log and they may request an interview with the scout prior to the approval and awarding of the Adventurer level Cord. 12. To purchase the Adventurer Cord, the scout leader then presents the certificate to the region office. 13. The group then decides on a suitable occasion to present the cord.
