Sunday, June 21 Father’s Day Scotts Creek Baptist Church My House Shall Be Called The House Of Prayer….” Matthew 21:13 Dear Church Family, I will be so glad when we can come back together. You may not understand this, but it is much easier to be your pastor when I can see you and when we can wor- ship together. I am not complaining, but it is very stressful not to be able to come to you and have that personal one on one. That being said, I want to talk to you from my heart about what is ahead. I do not know what lies ahead, but I want to be ready to open the church and come back together as the family of God. Each day I try to visualize what it would be like on that first Sunday. How do we do it safely? What can we do to make everyone as safe as possible? Each time that I give some word about coming back, I get some pushback as if I am just going to say, come on back. Well I want you to know, I have spent many hours trying to come up with the best plan of restrictions to keep us all safe. When you get this letter, the Deacons will have met at least twice and spent much time discussing and planning the return. We will never ask you to come back without a clear plan in mind. Please pray for me and the deacons on this matter. Please pray that God will lead us to know when to come back. On a more positive note, let me say how much I appreciate being able to have a worship service each Sunday and Wednesday. The use of social media for this matter is a new experience for all of us. But, it is a wonderful blessing the way the Lord has used it. Because of the fact that the face book and live streaming is so far reaching, we will continue to stream when we are back at church. Please pray that we will be able to get the equipment needed to be able to have a quality broadcast. Even though from time to time we have difficulty with our radio program, I am thankful that we have the radio to send out the music and message each week. Also, if you have a desire to help us financially in this matter, it would be very helpful. I cannot say it enough how much I appreciate the fact that you have been faithful in your stewardship during this time. During the time when we have not met together, your tithes and offerings have been as good or slightly above what it was when we were meeting. We have been able to keep on going smoothly in a difficult time. Thanks to all who have helped with the service each Sunday. Thanks to all who have worked diligently to remodel the fellowship building. This is going to be a very usable building in a lot of ways. We will still be able to use it as a picnic shelter. We will be able to use it to lock up our van and bus. We can have an old fashioned Camp Meetingin the building. It can be a good meeting place for our youth, etc. etc. Hey, just thinking out loud. I Love You, Pastor J. D.

Father’s Day

Scotts Creek Baptist Church “My House Shall Be Called The House Of Prayer….” Matthew 21:13

Dear Church Family,

I will be so glad when we can come back together. You may not understand this, but it is much easier to be your pastor when I can see you and when we can wor-ship together.

I cannot say it enough how much I appreciate the fact that you have been faithful in your stewardship during this time. We will still be able to use it as a picnic shelter. We will be able to use it to lock up our van and bus. We can have an old fashioned “Camp Meeting” in the building. It can be a good meeting place for our youth, etc. etc. Hey, just thinking out loud.

Due to COVID-19, there will be no Sunday School, Nursery, or Children’s Church until further notice.

Dear Church Family: Thank you for the calls, cards, food, text and especially the prayers during my mother’s sick-ness and passing. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed, but I know she is in Heaven and that gives our family a lot of comfort and happiness. Thank you for being such a loving, caring church family. May God continue to bless Scotts Creek Baptist Church.
