A fully qualified individual with experience in the oil and gas industry, I have current BOSIET and MIST certificates for the Offshore Industry with a strong awareness of Health and Safety and Confined Spaces. I have a strong Gas Engineering background, completing a Time Served Apprenticeship in Plumbing/Pipefitting. I have a UK Passport. I have a Full Clean UK Driving Licence with access to my own vehicle. I am seeking new work in the Oil and Gas/Renewable energy Industry. I also have my CCNSG and CSCS. I also have a forklift truck licence and have attended various tank entry/standby courses.

Career History

Offshore Group Newcastle – June 2014 – Present

EnQuest Producer FPSO Project - Finishing construction and commissioning of a 53,176te 249 metre FPSO to be used in the Argyll gas field. Daily duties consist of assisting various trades i.e riggers, welders, pipefitters, platers, mechanical fitters etc with their day-to-day duties and tasks. I am regularly stand by man and very up to date on vessel entry and permit to work procedures.

Talisman Monarb Jacket Project - Construction and fabrication of 6000te Jacket. Assisting with tasks of all trades including welders, platers and riggers. I also was involved in work on the transportation barge including the removal of various 100te stillages.

ConocoPhillips Alder Topside Project - Complete construction of 850te extension to the existing alder top side. Assisting all tradesmen in day to day duties and ensuring smooth operation of the premises, materials and equipment.

Shell Kvaerner Nyhamna Expansion Project - Assist welders, platers and riggers with the production of 20 individual modules to be installed onshore on the Norwegian Nyhamna plant.

I started my employment with Local Environmental Services by completing a 4 year apprenticeship as a Gas Engineer/Plumber/Pipefitter with Gateshead Council. My role included fitting and maintaining both domestic and commercial heating systems/boilers, installing kitchens and bathrooms, designing and installing various commercial & industrial gas pipelines to the strictest of guidelines and bye-laws. I was involved both in the planning and installation side of the jobs: designing and installing pipe runs of all sizes usually working on my own.

Achievements

While studying for my Apprenticeship I was both Gateshead Council Apprentice of the year meaning I was in the top 3% of all apprentices, and Gateshead College apprentice of the year meaning I was in the top 0.5% of all students in the college earning me an award from the mayor of Gateshead.

I have been a Crew member of both the “Ice Maiden” and “James Cook” boats in the Tall Ships Race which would involve 2 week long voyages with shift patterns of 6 hours work and 3 hours rest.

Hobbies and Interests

I enjoy sport, in particular Bodybuilding and Martial Arts training. I also enjoy Music, playing instruments including Guitar and Piano as well as Metalwork and Woodwork using large industrial size machinery such as a lathe in my garage.
