Pleased to be here Bayer Corp & group of community partners started us in 1993. They are still involved. We are an indep. Nonprofit & can be nimble, i.e. work with multiple districts & univ. & community partners Most imp. We can be what our customers, teachers, need. The LSC changed us. As a nonprofit, we supply curriculum materiald & PD NSF helped establish us as a high quality PD provider. Membership structure worked because districts couldnt teach without us. Learned model from NSRC First team learned this in 1993 and determined to do all elements all at once. The 5 NSRC components are reflected in research. I am here because we have a story to tell that connects the right thing to do (research) & implementation in the classroom. In working with 48 divers districts, we have found many benefits.
