DIVISION SEMINAR WORKSHOP IN DEEPENING INSTRUCTION OF CONTENTSFOR UNTRAINED GRADE 4 - 6 ARALlNG PANLlPUNAN TEACHERS

1. As revealed by the consolidated results of the test item analysis in K to 10 Araling Panlipunan, therewere identified learning competencies per quarter that needed to be reinforced in the teaching-learningprocess. Furthermore, the Teachers Need Analysis and survey conducted last January 19, 2018, revealedthat majority of the Araling Panlipunan teachers have inadequacy in the content knowledge and its applicationwithin and across the curriculum areas. Moreover, to help teachers and school heads to be engaged in thePhilippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), a Division Seminar-Workshop in the DeepeningInstruction of Contents for Untrained Grade 4 -6 Araling Panlipunan Teachers is designed. It is scheduledon September 6-8,2018 at Pulilan Central School.

2. The seminar-workshop aims to provide untrained Grade 4 - 6 teachers with a deepeningunderstanding, skills and attitude in the select critical contents of K to 10 Araling Panlipunan and itsapplication within and across the curriculum areas; prepare an instructional plan ensuring the integration ofK to 12 pedagogies in teaching the critical contents of the K to 10 Araling Panlipunan; and integrate genderand development in the critical contents of the K to 10 AP curriculum.

3. Enclosure No.1 contains the list of participants, training matrix, resource speakers, facilitators, andwork committees for easy reference.

4. All expenses incidental to the conduct of this division training shall be charged against the DivisionINSET fund while travelling expenses of the participants shall be charged against local funds subject to theusual accounting and auditing procedures.

5. This memorandum also serves as travel authority of the participants, resource speakers and memberof the technical work group.

6. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
