1. TheWakakirriScreenChallengeisinspiredbythetraditionalStoryDanceChallengebutallowsschoolstotaketheirperformancetoanotherlevelbytakingitoffthestageandontothescreen.

2. AtraditionalWakakirriStoryDanceisaperformancebyagroupofstudentsthattheatricallytells

astoryusingacombinationofdancingandactingtopre-recordedmusic.

3. Schoolscantellanystoryanduseanycombinationofdance,acting,music,props,costumes,sets,orfilmprojections.Incorporatetheannualsignatureitemintothestoryforanextrachallenge.

4. FilmyourStoryDanceindifferentlocationsand/oruseanimationand/orspecialeffectsduring

theeditingprocesstoenhancethetellingofyourstory.Theendresultshouldlookalikeamusicvideoclipwithastrongstoryline.

5. ContentmustberatedGforPrimarySchoolsandPGforSecondarySchools

6. ScreenChallengeentriescanbecreativelyedited.Itcancontaingraphics,animation,

voiceover/narrationthatenhancesthedeliveryofthestory.Editingshouldbedonebycollaborationbetweenstudentsandteachersatschoolnotbyanexternalsource.Entriesshouldbeusedasalearningopportunityforstudents.
