Growth. The Jackson County School District will provide meaningful guidance and support to Tuckerman Elementary, Swifton Middle, and Tuckerman High Schools and hold them accountable for implementing interventions that will lead to higher-level instructional strategies by teachers, as well as improvements in academic achievement by students, in all curricular areas, but especially in those of math and literacy. Professional Development needs will be provided for full implementation of needed trainings.

3. Title II-A, Class-Size Reduction, will be used to employ a (.57140 FTE/HQT - Jillian Church) Math Facilitator in Tuckerman High School, Grades 8-12 and Swifton Middle School, Grade 7. Title II-A will be utilized to recruit and retain teachers (1.0 FTE - Angelia Holland - THS Counselor). Data received from Tuckerman Elementary, Swifton Middle and Tuckerman High Schools from the previous school year revealed weaknesses as previously noted, with continued increased performance and growth levels indicated when comparions from previous years data from CRT, NRT as well as district-deteremined assessments were utilized.

High School rate for the county is 1.4 compared to the state of 2.4. The rate of Elementary/Middle School Drug infractions in Jackson County is 2.3 compared to the state rate of 1.7. High School rate for the county is 7.2 and the state rate is 7.9. The rate of Elementary/Middle School tobacco infractions is 2.9, the same as the state. The rate for the high school is 18.6 in the county and the state is 20.3. 2008: Jackson County is below the state in elementary and middle school alcohol infractions, but above the state in drug infractions, tobacco infractions, assaults on students and staff. At the high school level, Jackson County is below the state in drug infractions and tobacco infractions. At the high school level the county is above the state on juveniles in alcohol/drug treatment, alcohol infractions, and assaults on students or staff. The Risk Factors for Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Abuse in Arkansas by UALR Drug Abuse Prevention Center comparing Jackson County with the state of Arkansas' rate, was not conducted by UALR during the 2009, 2010, 2011 and was discontinued for use during the 2012 school year, state-wide. 1. 2010 - 2011 data showed that 2 students were assessed with the English Language Development Assessment (ELDA). 1 student maintained composite performance level of intermediate, and 1 student increased composite performance level to advanced. 2011 - 2012 data showed that 2 students were assessed with the English Language Development Assessment (ELDA). 1 student decreaed in performance level from intermediate to beginning-level and the other, 1 student, increased from intermediate to advanced as well as graduated with a high school diploma in May 2012. 2012 - 2013 English Language Development Assessment (ELDA) Data revealed that 2 students were assessed. 1 student in Kindergarten was only assessed using the ELDA, due to kindergarten students not assessed with the NRT or CRT state-wide administered assessments. Data for the kindergarten student revealed - Listening, Reading and Comprehension scores of Level 4 (Advanced), Writing - Level 3 (Intermediate), and Speaking - Level 5 (Full English Proficiency, for a total Composite Score of - Level 3 (Intermediate). Due to the kindergarten grade-level of the student as well as the first year exposed to the English Language, writing skills were anticipated to be lower in performance compared to speaking, listening and reading. The other 1 student, in 7th grade performed the following on the ELDA: Listening and Writing - Level 5 (Full English Proficiency), Speaking, Reading and Comprehension - Level 4 (Advanced) for a Total Composite Score of - Level 4 (Advanced). When the scores of the ELDA performance from this school year were compared to this student's ELDA scores from the previous school year, analysis of the data indicated that the student increased Total Composite Performance by 1 level, from a Level 3 (Intermediate) to Level 4 (Advanced).

2. 2010 - 2011 Benchmark data revealed: 2 students participated and the weakest areas for 1 student was no specific level of concern on the 11th grade literacy EOC; weakest area of concern for the other, 1 student, was Literary and Practical in Literacy Multiple Choice & Content and Style in Writing Open Resonse. 2011 - 2012 Benchmark data revealed: 1 student in the 6th grade participated and the weakest areas for the student were: measurement in math, literary in reading and sentence formation in writing on the Benchmark (CRT). 2012 - 2013 Benchmark Data Revealed: 1 student in the 7th grade participated and the weakest areas for this student were: number and operations and algebra in math, practical in reading and content and style in writing on the Benchmark (CRT).

3. 2010 - 2011 Norm-Referenced Tests revealed that the two weakest areas were: 1 student did was not assessed with the norm-referenced and the other 1 student exhibited weakness of Literary and Practical in Literacy Multiple Choice. 2011 - 2012 Norm-Reference Tests (ITBS) revealed that the two weakest areas for 1, 6th grade student were language and math. 2012-2013 Norm-Reference Test (ITBS) revealed that the two weakest areas for 1, 7th grade student were reading and math.

Goal ELL students will become proficient in the English language.
