About the School of LawLegal education plays a vital role in nation building as it facilitates settlement of disputes by the procedure established by law in a peaceful manner. The Rule of Law is one of the basic features of the Constitution of India and quality legal education is sine qua non to facilitate it. Therefore, it is essential for the youth to receive the legal education, as apart from equipping them with the knowledge of law, it would help them to understand the relevance and significance of democratic values.School of Law always strives for wholesome students' academic and extracurricular activities. The library is rich with thousands of volumes of books, academic and reporting Journals and other reference materials. It also has access to numerous online Legal databases. Wi-Fi enabled campus enables the students to access the online legal database efficiently. Classrooms are well equipped with LCD projectors and other IT tools for education. A spacious auditorium serves the need for the various seminars, conferences and other events. School of Law gives an emphasis over the practical exposure. In its curriculum it provides an important place to Clinical Legal Education. The School of Law emphasizes on practical exposure to the students from Courts, NGOs etc.

Industry InternshipsAfter the completion of each semester the students undertake internship during which they associate with judicial and administrative bodies as well as law firms and other corporate entities during their entire span of law curriculum.This exercise is supervised by the Faculty coordinators by evaluation of their internship reports and it forms a part of their credit system.
ProjectIn every subject the students are required to submit a doctrinal research work as a part of their project evaluation which aims at inculcating researching skills in our students to develop themselves as good researchers, one of the primary pre-requisites of a lawyer and also defend their research in the viva-voce where they need to present and answer questions posed by the examiner regarding the study carried out by the student
Mentorship ProcessMentors are appointed for the students and sessions are conducted whereby the interaction between the mentor and the mentee helps in identification of strengths and the weakness of the mentees. The mentor accordingly guides the mentee so that the strengths can be channelized properly in the right direction. In this regard due to concerted efforts of the mentor and mentee the challenges or the shortcomings are accordingly considered and strategies to overcome them is developed on case to case basis.
Teaching PedagogyThe curriculum and teaching pedagogy is designed to provide extensive exposure and delivered through lecture-tutorial system. The system ensures uniformity and yet gives professors flexibility to use their individual teaching styles. It enables greater student-teacher interaction for more hands-on activities and discussions. Tutorials are used to discuss essay plans and critique contemporary issues in greater detail so as to improve understanding and give professors opportunity to encourage ‘critical thinking’ amongst the aspiring legal professionals.
Special Skill Development & Value Added Programs
Guest lectures have been regularly arranged to give sensitise the students about the recent developments in the field of law
Workshops and seminars have been arranged to give the students expert guidance and equip them with understanding about the ongoing issues in the legal fraternity
The students are to undergo internship at the end of each semester. The internships are spanned over the entire range of legal system from trial courts to Supreme Court.
The faculty mentors supervise their internships and the Internship Reports form part of evaluation process.
