Perioperative and day surgery nursing 1,5ects: Objectives• The students will be familiarized with perioperative (surgery and
anaesthetic nursing), day surgery nursing, central nursing interventions, and the implementation of aseptics.
• The students will be familiarized with the central methods and devices used in perioperative nursing, and their use.
• The students will internalise the basics of pain treatment and the methods used in it.
• They will understand the importance of the encounter, guidance, and support of surgery patients, as well as the significance of multi-professional work in the holistic treatment of patients.

• able to plan, implement and assess the holistic and empowering care of the perioperative patient.
• able to take care of a patient in anesthesia or local anesthesia, and to prepare for changes in the condition of the patient.
• observation of vital functions, rapid action in accordance with the situation, utilizing nursing interventions, medical treatment, technology, and multiprofessional work groups.
• able to encounter the perioperative patient individually. • master basic technology, aseptics and the helping methods of
perioperative nursing, and can, when guided, nurse the perioperative patient.
