School Introduction Appointments: • Go to the school office/meet the principal, vice-principal
or designate• Purpose of the meeting:
- Introductions- get a basic orientation to the school- go on a tour of the school- an opportunity to ask questions, find out about
how you can get involved in larger school community
• After meeting- sign/mail thank you card
What to wear...
• Dress for a job interview - professional (business casual) - conservative/modest - piercings- limit to ear lobes
- edgy tattoos should be covered - no perfumes/fragrances
Dress up for your appointment • Males: - clean, pressed trousers
or pants (no jeans or shorts)
- Shirt- short or long sleeved, golf or collared, no T-shirts
- Tie optional- Suit or jacket optional- Dress or casual shoes, no
running shoes, flip flops, sandals
• Females: - conservative, business-
style dress, skirt or pants- No jeans or yoga pants- Blouse, shirt or sweater
(long or short sleeved, no tank tops, tube tops or spaghetti straps, no cleavage showing please)
- Dress shoes or casual shoes/sandals (no running shoes, flip flops)
- Modest amount of jewellery & make-up

To do before your School Intro: • Prepare your questions for your administrator • Think about your answers to the ‘typical’
administrator questions • Contact your colleagues... Arrange rides,
meeting times etc. • Prepare a thank you card (one per school) ... mail
it right after the meeting.
