Dorset School Games Formats 2012/2013
Citation preview
Welcome… Following the fantastic success of the Dorset School Games in 2012, we are pleased to announce the
expanded programme of sports and competitions for the 2012-13 academic year.
Feedback from the main event on 13th July 2012, which saw 2000 competitors and volunteers based at
King’s Park was outstanding and for many young people this was an experience of a multi-sport event
that will inspire them for the future.
Through discussion with 26 governing bodies of sport, this year’s programme will include a wide range
of ‘stand-alone’ events as well as a Winter Games and Summer Games day.
For the chance to qualify for these level 3 games, please contact you local School Games Organiser
(SGO) for details/dates of level 2 qualifiers in your School Games area.
Yours sincerely,
Phil Thomas
Chair, Dorset Local Organising Committee (LOC),
Principal: The Wey Valley School & Sports College
