Keep send- ing in plastic jars of peanut butter and/or jelly throughout the entire month of February to support those who face hun- ger in our communities. All students who donate may order a free Bucks ticket. Please see the attached letter for more details. The next book swap will be held on Wednesday, February 28th. We are in need of volunteers to make this happen. Please click here to sign up if you can help out. Thank you! Family Fun Night is coming up on Friday, March 2nd. The deadline to order tickets prior to the event has been extend- ed to Friday, February 23rd. The 3rd & 4th grade spring concert will be held on Thursday, March 8th at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm and 5K will be having their spring concert on Friday, March 9th at 2:30 pm. It is soon going to be that time of year when we will be administering the state assessment, the Forward Exam. The testing window for this assessment is March 19th to May 4th. Third grade testing will take place between April 9th and April 19th, while the 4th grade window runs from March 20th through April 27th. Most testing will occur in the AM. As in the past, we ask that families try to avoid testing times for appointments, vacations, etc. as the missed test will then need to be made up during one of our make-up times. Make-up tests will be administered during the week of April 30th through May 4th. Thank you in advance and please contact your child's teacher with any questions. Paraprofessionals assist teachers and students throughout the school day. Substitute paraprofes- sionals have a flexible work schedule and a lot of variety in their work. The Woodland Elementary PB&J Challenge through Feeding America is on through the end of the month. WOODLAND FAMILY FUN NIGHT!

Join us for a night of Bingo and our annual Basket Raffle on Friday, March 2! The festivities start at

5:30pm when doors open. You can view the baskets and submit your tickets until 6:30 when Bingo starts.

Once Bingo starts we’ll announce the winners of the baskets throughout the 

evening.

Ticket Order Form 

BINGO and Basket Raffle Night is March 2, 2018! Doors will open at 5:30 pm for 

basket viewing. BINGO begins at 6:30 pm in the gym, at which time ticket 

sales will close. If your family plans to participate in BINGO, bring three (3) 

books, toys, snacks or peanut and tree nut-free candy bars per child for prizes. 

Families do not need to be present to win the baskets. If you ARE NOT 

attending, please return your ticket stubs (with the basket # indicated) in a 

sealed envelope to PTO by February 28th, and we will enter your tickets. If 

you ARE attending, bring your ticket stubs that night and enter them in your 

choice of basket. Additional tickets will be available for purchase that night.

Dear Parents, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is partnering with the Milwaukee Bucks, Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market to bring you the 15th Annual PB&J Challenge. We have challenged your school to collect peanut butter and jelly throughout the entire month of February to support those who face hunger in our communities. Your child’s teacher cares about connecting classroom learning to action in the real world. PB&J CHALLENGE FOOD DRIVE INFORMATION:

Please bring any size or brand peanut butter or jelly to school

All of the donated food will stay in eastern Wisconsin to be distributed through the Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin network

A WINNING COMBINATION The Milwaukee Bucks would like to thank the students who take on the PB&J Challenge! All students who donate to the food drive will receive a complimentary ticket offer to attend a Bucks game on March 21 or March 25. Please ask your teacher for further details. The official PB&J Challenge Recognition Night is at the Milwaukee Bucks game on Wednesday, March 21. One elementary school and one middle school will be recognized before the start of the Bucks game in two categories: 1. The school collecting the most PB&J (total weight) 2. UNLESS Fundraiser Event

This fun-filled activity is a part of Woodland’s UNLESS (We Find A Cure) Campaign.

All proceeds will be going to the American Cancer Society.

Location: Woodland School Date: Saturday, March 17th, 2018

Time: 9:00 AM-11:30 AM Registration and Entry Fee required in advance: $10/participant

Included with this “donation” is:

1. An Easter Egg Hunt to be held outdoors (weather permitting). (Every registered/prepaid participant will get to find 10 plastic eggs filled with treats.)

2. An Easter Basket to be provided indoors. (Every registered/prepaid participant will get to go home with his/her own basket of “goodies”.)

3. Easter Bunny to be present in the commons. (Feel free to bring your phones/cameras to snap a photo of your child/children with the Easter Bunny.) The Kimberly Area School District is seeking talented Substitute Teachers who want to join a team of

Substitute Teachers new to KASD are supported by helpful District

staff at each building. The District uses an online Substitute Teacher
