BUS DROP-OFF POINT

Head up two flights of Escalators. We recommend visiting the toilets on LEVEL 1 before proceeding up to LEVEL 2

Enter Chadstone Shopping Centre via the David Jones entrance. Turn left at Saint Laurent and make your way towards Zara/H&M. Head up the escalators between the two Zara stores, you will find us opposite Hoyts Cinema.

SCHOOL WORKSHOPSLEGOLAND® Discovery Centre has collaborated with LEGO® Education to provide unique, high quality learning experiences.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre facilitates learning through interactive experiences to promote deeper engagement with the subject matter, providing hands-on learning across the curriculum, including science, mathematics, language, arts, technology, and engineering design. All our workshops focus on collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Teachers can choose from the following workshops:

SeasonsKinder - Prep | 30-35 mins Earth Sciences, Literacy, CollaborationHelp your early years students learn about the seasons the hands-on way. In this workshop, students learn about what makes a good story and will then build and share what they know about the current season. Spinning TopsGrades 1-2 | 30-35 mins Engineering, Design, Mathematics In this exciting workshop, students build and experiment with LEGO spinning tops. Students learn about how scientists perform experiments by developing theories, conducting their own experiments and collecting data. Spin the GearsGrades 3-4 | 45 mins Engineering, Design, Mathematics Gears, gears, gears! In this workshop, students will build a series of models and experiment with gears. Students will explore concepts surrounding different types of gears, force , and ratios; and how these elements work together within simple machines. Merry-Go-Round Grades 5-6 | 45 mins Engineering, Design, Mathematics A fun, hands-on way to get students excited about engineering, design and mathematics. Students build a LEGO merry-go-round to explore gear ratios then experiment with gear trains to see which combination enables their ride to spin the fastest. What a Great Experience! Grades 2-6 | 45 mins English Language Arts In this workshop, students will build their characters and settings to develop a plot using LEGO bricks! Students learn about the key elements of a narrative and will get to practice story-telling and collaboration.

Please note all school entry prices are only valid during Victorian primary school term dates, and are not valid on weekends, public holidays, or Victorian school holiday dates.

PaymentAn invoice will be sent through after your visit. Payment must be received within 7 days of visit. Once confirmed, bookings cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled date will incur a 50% cancellation fee to cover costs. Cancellations or non-arrival on the day will be charged in full. Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled date of visit will not be charged. The booking date can be rescheduled within the same year (subject to availability) more than 14 days prior to the scheduled date of visit.

Group sizesPlease arrange the students into their Workshop Groups. The group that is commencing the Workshop first will be escorted into the Attraction first. We recommend breaking up each Workshop group into smaller groups of 5 to 10 students with 1 adult when exploring the Attraction. An Admissions member will confirm your total numbers upon visit and assist with any group size adjustments if required.

A minimum of 10 students is required for a self-guided visit. A minimum of 15 students is required for a visit with an included Classroom Workshop. If you plan to attend with less, the group will be charged for the minimum number of required students.

The 10 minimum ratio does not apply to Specialist Groups however please ensure you notify us if you are a specialist school upon booking.

You must arrive 10 minutes before your visit. We recommend 2-3 hours inside the attraction with your class.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre recommends allocating 2-3 hours inside the attraction: 45 minutes for a workshop and up to two hours for play.

Check in at admissions upon arrival.

Ensure your group arrives 30 minutes prior if you have booked a Classroom Workshop booked.

If you have booked School Group General Admission only, check in is 10 minutes prior to your selected time.

All guests require closed toe shoes to ride the Merlin’s Apprentice and socks to participate in our soft play.

ON VISITYOUR

Pre/post entryGroups are not permitted to enter the attraction before or after the scheduled visit due to safety and logistical reasons. No re-entry will be issued once you have left the attraction.

Eating arrangementsAs space within the building for storage and eating is quite limited, we recommend students to bring their lunch in a small bag rather than bringing their School Bags. We encourage groups to eat before or after their Workshops. You are welcome to eat on our balcony by the Surfer Girl.

ToiletsThe toilets are located at the back of the attraction. There is limited access – we request teachers escort smaller groups of around 5 as required, DO NOT take full schools/groups to the facilities at once.

ParkingCoach drop-off is outside Capital Kitchen (next to David Jones). Coaches will then be required to park at the bus depot outside Tower 1. Groups will walk to the attraction from Capital Kitchen, turn left and walk towards Zara/H&M. Then take the escalator up to Level 2.

Public TransportOakleigh Station is the quickest option, with buses departing every few minutes on weekdays and at least every 10 minutes on weekends. The 903 bus will take you direct to Chadstone. Alternatively you can take routes: 742, 800, 802, 804 or 862 (towards Chadstone); or 900 (towards Caulfield).

InjuriesPlease know that any guest with any injured/broken bones, casts, moon boots or any other supportive braces will not be able to participate on Kingdom Quest, Merlin’s Apprentice & Soft Play.
