MAHARAJA AGARSAIN PUBLIC SCHOOL is inspired by the ideals of the great saint, Maharaja Agarsain Ji started on a long and arduous journey 40 years ago under the stewardship of Sh. R.K. Bansal as Ex-president, Sh. O.P. Gupta as school manager and Ms.Punam Gupta as Principal.

Our motto is “Empowered Minds and energised souls” focussing on Multiple Intelligence Approach, I-skill, and inculcation of five attributes such as Confidence, Responsible, Reflective, Engaged and innovative to be developed in the personality of the child.

The school spreads over four acres of land located in the heart of Delhi ie. North-west region, proud of its stretched grounds, well-stocked library, air-conditioned audio-visual classrooms, well-equipped labs and auditorium.

The strength of school is 3500+ students of age group in the range of 3 to 16 years and 135+ faculties following Smart class program mapped precisely to curriculum guidelines.

The institution furthered into international arena with the extension of CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL EXAMINATIONS (CIE) following pattern of primary checkpoint till class VIII and IGCSE pattern in class IX.

Assessment pattern is Formative and Summative evaluation. The school provides a congenial, free, open, disciplined, safe, opportunistic, rich cultural

and ethnic diversity and a global learning platform to develop multi-dimensional knowledge and skills.

Section C: Our School Business Experience2. Here is a brief description of the school business we ran before/are currently running,

including the products/services we sold/are selling.

Since the last three year we are running the business of FUN MUN THE SHAKE STATION in which our young entrepreneurs exhibit their fine culinary skills by preparing nutritious milk shakes .To reduce the monotony , introduction to new flavours and midday snacks such as fruits and vegetables sprouts and fruit corn chaat . This leads to divers range of products and encourages our learners to be motivated .Currently we are moving ahead with the same business but along with two new additions have been incorporated such as Play Station and Handy Creations to enhance the recreational and vocational skills in our learners .This Programme helps to develop the attributes of being Independent, Responsible, Reflective ,Innovative and Engaged learners.

Section D: Our Resources3. Considering our school’s physical resources, skills and location, these are the resources

available at our school we can use to develop our business:

RESOURCES AVAILABLE : Our school is well-equipped with all natural resources (water, four acres of land or playgrounds, Plantation and a separate lawn of greenery) ; physical resources such as capital, paper recycling plant, adequate infrastructural facilities with installed furniture, power generators, internet facility with all setup of technology assistive devices.

SCHOOL LOCATION : Our school is centrally located near the vicinity of a well-established society and a marketplace in the region of north-west zone of Delhi and are away from any factory or industrial sectors as they can harm the health and well-being of the students. We use Badminton Courts for game station, open area for cafe’ and Classrooms for handicraft classes.

SKILLS : We focussed on inculcation of the following skills-

Art and craft skills Tailoring skills Culinary skills Psycho-motor skills

Section E: Brainstorming Business Ideas4. a) These are the five business ideas we thought of when brainstorming new idea or a

way of diversifying or growing the existing one:

After brainstorming session with the students, we come up with the following business ideas:

Running cafeteria E-learning portal Gift shop Book reading shop Game store

b) The business we chose for our Silver Award is: _1. Game station2. Cafeteria3. Handicraft creations__________________________________________

And these are 3 reasons why we chose this idea:

1. Game station will build physical fitness, mental activeness, drill and practice, sports skills, entertainment and relaxation of mind.

2. Cafeteria targets to develop cooking skills, self-dependence, innovation, creativity, vocational training and inculcation of marketing and accounting skills.

3. Handicraft creation swill help in getting best out of waste, optimum utilisation of recycled newspapers, 3 R’s, building of creative skills, innovative minds, efficient use of money and resources, interest and imagination of creative skills and will learn entrepreneurial and vocational skills which can help to make right decisions for future career choices.

5. Our final Business Idea will be sustainable and have a positive impact on the

environment and our community because:

Our final business idea after the in depth analysis of feasibility study is running of Game station titled as “FUN MUN THE SHAKE STATION” as we are considering:

It covers the 3 P’s (Planet- conservation, Profit- revenue generation, People- labour). Products will be eco-friendly, with natural flavours, fresh, tasty, hygienic, priced

reasonably, properly packaged, safe, easy to make and with all-time demand. Most importantly of educational value.

Services will comprise the expertise, marketing strategy, trained students, risk-free environment, with all requisite materials in hand, planned ideas and its execution, differentiation in the products and selling, storage facility and keeping in mind the demand and supply of the product and services.

The positive impact is that we will keep in the sustainability and cleanliness and hygiene as our first priority, without harming the health and fulfilling the societal expectation, making the child socially adjustable, creating humane, all-round development of the child and building of I-skill fostering confidence and self-efficiency.

Section F: Financing our growth and development6. Here is a description of how we are planning to finance our business, including how we

are going to raise the money needed for our school business.

Our school will raise its start-up capital from the following practices:

Selling old newspapers and books. Money raised from Paper recycling plant
