On behalf of the board of directors, it is my privilege to present the Mishawaka Education Foundation’s Annual Report for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2017. Over the last 12 months, the Foundation has been able to put over $275,000 back in to the classrooms! From a brand new Digital Arts Studio to band instruments, our board continues to build partnerships that allow us to fulfill classroom needs. Our foundation continues to provide opportunities over and above what the school corporation can typically afford.

In 2015 we announced “The Mishawaka Promise” campaign to raise $2.5 Million by 2020. Our promise to the teachers was that they continue to think BIG and find ways to bring innovation to the classrooms. The promise we ask from the community is to show your support and help our schools become an incubator for future leaders. As of October we are on pace to hit the $1 MILLION mark! Our success is because of you. The MEF board and School City of Mishawaka thank you for your continued contributions of ideas, financial support and loyalty to your community. Together we can make a difference! With Gratitude,

Nick TroiolaPresident, Mishawaka Education Foundation

The MEF Wishlist is a way for our SCM teachers and staff to receive items that are needed to aid them in helping our SCM students have the BEST education possible. This Wishlist is for requests of $200 or less. It may be used as many times a year as a need arises for a teacher or staff member.

The way that these requests will be filled is by MEF advertising to area businesses, MHS Alumni, and individuals that want to help the MEF provide funds to our staff so they do not have to take it from their own pockets. SCM staff that have their “wish” completed will be notified and the monies, gift cards or in-kind items will be supplied via the MEF.Go to www.scmef.me to view the Wishlist
