What is the SRI Interactive?

Who should take the SRI?

The SRI is designed for students who can read.

It is recommended that teachers take an SRI BEFORE students.

If students are unable to read, should the SRI be read to them?

The SRI is for students who areare readers.

How does the SRI-Interactive work?

1. Student logs onto computer.

2. Student answers questions about his/her reading interests to prepare a

customized reading list.

What is a Lexile?

A Lexile is a unit for measuring text difficulty.

The word Lexile is a blend of the root word “Lex”, which refers to words, and echoes the word“percentile”, a comparative unit of measure.

Independent/Fluent Reading Range is 250L below Lexile Score.

Instructional/Challenging Reading Range is 250L Above Lexile Score.

Less than 70% Comprehension
