The Centenary History Project of New Zealand and the First World War Postgraduate Research Scholarships

Closing date: 31 July 2020 Level: Postgraduate The Centenary History Project (CHP) of New Zealand and the First World War is a partnership between Massey University, the New Zealand Defence Force and the Ministry for Culture and Heritage. Massey University hosts the CHP and is responsible, through the Centenary History Project Governance Group (CHPGG), for administering the associated funding. A guiding principle of the CHP is that royalties earned from the published volumes, in addition to funds raised that were surplus to publishing the volumes, should be used to promote further historical research into New Zealand and the First World War. The CHPGG determined that this would be done through the provision of scholarships designed to support postgraduate research and study undertaken by students at any New Zealand university. The scholarships aim to promote the study of New Zealand history, with particular reference to the history of New Zealand’s involvement in and experiences of the First World War.
