Scholarship program for intensive training in Agroecology for farmers in Mexico, Latin
America and the Caribbean
As part of the Bosque de Niebla A.C. Agroecology program, we promote the improvement of agricultural practices and improving the conditions of our ecosystems by training farmers in Latin America and the Caribbean in Agro-ecological techniques
and sustainable living.
This is possible due to the long history and experience of the Las Cañadas Agroecology and Permaculture Center, who since 2017, has implemented this intensive training
program to build capacity and achieve the resilience of rural communities that share similar socio-environmental realities in much of our continent.
We are an agroecological production cooperative made up of 22 families
Location: Huatusco, Veracruz, Mexico
Since 1992 we have transformed a cattle ranch into a cloud forest reserve and a demonstration center
Training topics include: Agroecology, Ecotechnologies, Bioconstruction and Education
www.bosquedeniebla.com.mx
Since 1995 we have reforested and conserved the forest on our 306 hectares of land, located in one of the last remnants of the cloud forest ecosystem, one of the most richly and biodiverse, as
well as one of the most threatened areas on the planet
A bit of History…

For more than a decade we have taught courses focused on styles of sustainable living for local individuals and people living in the cities In 2006, we became a cooperative of agroecological production, in which we ensure a fair distribution of our resources and benefits, as well as the adoption of sustainable living strategies
We work in production modules, we provide ourselves, we live sustainably with our environment and we share our knowledge through courses
We have improved the condition of our lands and our life through regenerative practices and the sustainable management of resources, taking care of our forests and water

SOCIAL IMPACT
Through our courses we have trained hundreds of people, many of whom now manage their own projects focused on socio-environmental sustainability
Many communities in the region, classified as having a very high degree of marginalization (CONAPO, 2010), do not have the economic resources to implement urgent solutions to their reality, a situation that concerns us in our area of influence, the communities of the State mountains of
Veracruz
However…
How to socialize our achievements?

Nearby Populations
To share our solutions and finance their implementation in needy
communities, since 1999 we have created…
