Schloss Krumbach International School is a co-educational institution for students aged 12-19 (grades 7-12) and includes supervised accomodation.

My father, my grandfather, and my great-grandfather were teachers and directors of educational institutions in Russia.

Our three generations of educators have obtained priceless knowledge. As a successor of this dynasty, I see my responsibility in adapting it to the challenges of today.

Gratitude to the talent and selfless work of my father, Alexander Samoylovich Gurevich, an average school has become a true home for students and a «children’s Republic» based on democratic principles.

As a teacher with 25 years of experience and as a mother of three children, I consider it my duty to convey the expertise gained by our teacher dynasty.

I am convinced that in today’s rapidly changing reality, our children need a sense of unity with the world and faith in their power.

Individualised Education Programme

Schloss Krumbach International School teaches middle and high school students. The curriculum includes mathematics, natural sciences, geography, history, English, German, the student’s mother tongue, music, art, computer science, physical education and digital design (plus other subjects).

At high school level, students have the opportunity to study other subjects required for their admission to international universities.

There have always been the twin challenges of growing up and finding your place in the world. I believe that our holistic educational concept based on progressive teaching principles will strengthen our students and, eventually, our society.

Bilingual educational program

The Schloss Krumbach International School curriculum is taught in both English and German so that students master all subjects in both languages.

A mandatory part of the curriculum includes the study of the student’s mother tongue.

The school also offers opportunities to learn other foreign languages.

The castle of the XIII century

The castle was built in the 13ed century and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery of the mountains and the Krumbach area.

The castle is more than just a building, it’s the living record of almost 900 years of stories.

Life in the castle gives our students a unique opportunity to experience the cultural traditions of Europe while getting a contemporary education.

Schloss Krumbach was constructed as a castle in the XIII century.“Gerhardus de Chrumpach” was first mentioned in chronicles in 1192.


Schloss Krumbach International School is located close to Vienna and all the cultural highlights of Austria’s capital city. This means that visits to the museums, operas, classical music concerts, theatres, art galleries etc. are regular events.

The school also provides the opportunity to get involved with annual cultural events - Vienna balls, Christmas markets, festivals etc.

We provide specially designed weekend programmes to give our students the opportunity to take the theory they have learned in the classroom and apply it in real life.

In their free time, children can take part in the school’s culture and leisure activities, participate in research projects, etc. or spend time with their parents.


School enrolment

Schloss Krumbach International School only accepts children who have passed the entrance exams.

Tuition: 25 000 € per year.

The price covers accommodation and meals.

For students joining the school in 2020, discounts of up to 70% will apply. This price is maintained for the entire period of the education of the child.

Current enrolment is possible for students planning to attend grade 7 or grade 10.

Grants

A grant to cover the full costs of education and accomodation at the Schloss Krumbach International School will be offered to the students with the best results in the entrance exams.
