What is the Schererville Civic Funds, Inc.?The Schererville Civic Funds, Inc. (SCF) is a non-profit ALL VOLUNTEER organization dedicated to providing temporary assistance to Schererville residents in need.
Schererville Civic Funds is funded entirely by private contributions and is not supported by tax dollars._________________________________________________________________
Where Does Your Contribution Go?Over the past year, more than 420 families received food, medical, household, or educational assistance from the SCF.
• Temporary assistance for utility and rent bills of the needy.
• Free loans of healthcare equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and hospital beds to any Schererville resident.
• Food certificates for needy residents at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
• Assistance to youth groups and civic safety organizations.
• Educational Grants to high school seniors demonstrating financial need.
SCF temporary assistance is needed by Schererville residents who cannot work because of medical issues or injury, or who get behind due to family circumstances.
We cannot do it without you!Since 1956 we have been there for our fellow Schererville residents, providing a temporary helping hand. Our mission leaves little in reserve so your contribution is urgently needed.
