Dear Sir/Madam:
We are cordially inviting you to the 2012 Training-Workshop on Bridging between Languages in Mother Language-Based Education under the New K-12 Curriculum, to be held on May 14-26, 2012 at the St. Louis University in Baguio City.
This international course is being organized by SIL International, the 170+ Talaytayan MLE Incorporated, and St. Louis University-Baguio. The resource speakers are Dr. Susan Malone and Dr. Dennis Malone of SIL, DepEd officials and experienced professors from UP, SLU, PNU and ADMU.
The event is part of a series on planning for strong and sustainable mother tongue-based bilingual and multilingual education (MTB MLE) programs. For elementary teachers and administrators, the goal of the course is to leave you with a firm grasp on how to implement MTBMLE in kindergarten and in the early grades in your schools under the new K-12 curriculum. For tertiary educators, the added objective is to help you design your teacher training programs according to principles of first-language based instruction.
The course fee will be P7,500, inclusive of kit, materials, hand-outs, CD and daily lunch and snacks but exclusive of accommodation. There are limited slots only.
Please refer to the attachments for workshop schedule, registration, accommodation payment procedures and CHED endorsement. For more information, please contact Prof. Jane K. Lartec through 09192470035 or e-mail ad [email protected] or Ms. Lucy Cruz through 09163944870 or email ad [email protected].
We thank you for your kind support to attain a truly education for all.
Truly yours,
JANE K. LARTEC, PhD
