Break Down Your GoalsBreakdown your larger goals into smaller ones. This willmake them simpler, more achievable, and remove yourfear of starting.
Analyze Your TimeMaybe the problem isn’t what you think it is. Trackyour day and how you spend your time. Once you havean accurate perception of what you spend your time on, your adjustments will be more effective.
Remember Basic NeedsSleep, diet, and exercise help. You have basic needs. If you are in a pattern of neglecting them over time, you may need to adjust prioities, find different ways to get them, or analyze what’s actually stopping you.
Practice Safe Social DistancingWash your hands. Wear your face mask. Avoid physical contact. Don’t touch your face. Avoid sick people. Stay safe!
Notice What Your EnjoyNotice what you are doing when you are most happy. Itmay not seem like much, but it is a clue. If you are not surehow it relates to a job, talk to Career Development. It may notbe a job, but it might point to a skill/value that’s part of anotherjob you might not know about yet.
Study!Figure out how you study best. Try out different methods. You study for English, different then how you study forPhysics or Communications. It is also okay to takebreaks while studying!
Working During CollegeChoose wisely. Make sure you’re intentional in howyou select jobs. Jobs are good, but should fit your longterm goals, other commitments, and general level of sanity.
Ask For Help!Don’t be afraid to ask for help: 1) before you hit a crisis,2) if you should already know the answer, 3) if you’rekind of unsure and want to check, 4) if you’re trulystruggling, 5) if you don’t know what you don’t know, 6) even if you it’s your fault, 7) if you’ve “got this”, but just need help carrying the load, and 8) ever.
Stay Safe! This year is going to look different from previous. Justremember to stay safe yourself and keep those aroundyou safe. Reduce your risk!
